Aren't women always wanting to be younger? What's the problem in not growing up? ;-)

How DARE he?! This is why I'm still Single!!!
by stillAwitness inwell, i was dating this guy and its been a long time since i have even been with anyone that i thought was worthwhile.
i've been focusing on other things and with everything else going on with trying to gain my independance i just have not wanted to get caught up.

Do you follow you own advice?
by Golf inpeople are so free about giving advice.
my question is, do you follow your own advice?
i have often quoted this scripture, "...do you, however, the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself?

People should never tell other people what they should do, and I follow all of my own advice. ;-)

If you really feel that way, then it's probably best. Just remember, sometimes us guys need a little help. ;-)

I was just teasing. Now I'll tell you what I really think. I think most guys will be supporting if you're clear about what's important to you. From what you say, you yelled at him for saying something he didn't attach meaning to. Do you think that is unsupportive, or a lack of communication? Also, he will need you to understand his perspective as much as you need him to understand yours. Seeing how he views things will take as much effort as him seeing how you view things. Remember, it's a two-way street. He's probably feeling pretty bad right now. Now, if he doesn't give a )))), then that's a different story.

Have you ever seen that movie How To Lose a Guy In Ten Days? Think of the scene with her poodle or cat or whatever it was. ;-)

Oh come on. Are you suggesting for a person to imply they're still interested, then video tape the attempts to get that person back? That's dishonest. Many complain that the elders didn't give them enough attention. If you aren't interested, just tell them so. They'll stop. If people would grow a backbone and do what they mean and mean what they say, this bs wouldn't happen. For you all who were active witnesses, how did you respond when you thought someone was interested and needed your help? Was this not the most encouraging behavior they could have given you? How would you have felt if you found out you were being played for a sap and made fun of because you believed what someone told you and you were trying to help them?

I don't think you're speaking of actual intelligence--your level of intelligence doesn't change. The content of your knowledge changes, but your ability to learn does not. With the restrictions JW'ism places on learning, it will most definitely seem that you have a more daunting task now than you formerly did, as you've alluded, yet you've always possessed the same intelligence--it was merely underutilized. Now that you're in a world with no restrictions on your learning, you necessarily will feel different. You can no longer dismiss entire arguments or groups of people without grasping the sometimes challenging aspect of logically and legitimately dismissing such arguments. In effect, you've gained new respect for humanity that you didn't have before. But most of all, you've found that being intelligent is not important; rather, surrounding yourself with intelligent people is important. Ok, I'm projecting now. ;-)

Reasons employers reject job applicants
by kristyann inanyone want to give me some main reasons employers reject job applicants?
i already have some, but this is for something for school... and i really need a wide range of answers... they are looking for me to give them quite a few reasons.
i need serious ones, too... not something inappropriate for school or ridiculous.

A couple of important, often overlooked ones are a nervous demeanor and a weak handshake. It's surprising how much difference a confident stance and a firm handshake while looking the employer directly in the eye makes. A lot of it's psychological.
